Dancing into Saturday’s fair schedule

Don’t be a square, go to the fair!

Saturday is the last day to attend the Muskingum County Blue Ribbon Fair. Tonight is all about square dancing, so grab your partner and swing ‘em around. There’s a chance for showers and thunderstorms.

The fair has been serving Muskingum county for 172 years now. While Saturday is the last day of the fair, October is bringing a new round of fair news as the 2019 Fair Board is selected.

Saturday’s schedule looks like this:

  • 9 a.m- Junior Fair Market Rabbit, Goat and Poultry Sale (Coliseum)
  • 9 a.m.- Pony Pull (Grandstand)
  • 10 a.m. – dusk – Stihl Pro Wood Carver (Near Brighton Gate)
  • 11 a.m.- Rides Open
  • 11 a.m.- Horse Pull (Grandstand)
  • 11 a.m.- World of Wonders Show (West end of fairgrounds)
  • 1 p.m.- Escape Explosion Show (West end of fairgrounds)
  • 2 p.m.- Open Class Terminal Market Hog Show, Pee Wee and Adult Showmanship (Swine Show Area)
  • 2 p.m.- World of Wonders Show (West end of fairgrounds)
  • 2-4 p.m.- World of Wonders Show (West end of fairgrounds)
  • 3 p.m.- Open Class Feeder Calf Show (Coliseum)
  • 4 p.m.- Escape Explosion Show (West end of fairgrounds)
  • 4 p.m.- Antique Tractor Parade (Grandstand)
  • 5 p.m.- World of Wonders Show (West end of fairgrounds)
  • 5:30 p.m.- Truck, Tractor and Semi Pull (Track Chairs $5 – Grandstand Free)
  • 7 p.m.- Junior Fair Building Booths Disassembled
  • 7 p.m.- Exhibits Released
  • 7 p.m.- Escape Explosion Show (West end of Fairgrounds)
  • 8 p.m.- World of Wonders Show (West end of Fairgrounds)
  • 8 p.m- Square Dance Up 2 No Good (J & E Distributors North Stage)
  • 8 p.m.- A-Bar Rodeo Bull Riding and Girls Barrel Racing (Grandstand)
  • 11 p.m.- Rides close
