Alleged murderer pleads not guilty

The man accused of aggravated murder for the stabbing of a homeless man on July 2 pleaded not guilty today.

Dannie Devoll, the alleged suspect in the murder of Eric Stevens, pleaded not guilty during a Muskingum County Court of Common Pleas arraignment Wednesday.

Devoll, 28, is being accused of aggravated murder and two counts of tampering with evidence. He pleaded not guilty to all three counts.

Devoll is accused of stabbing Stevens on the night of July 2 on Putnam Avenue between Trulight Ministries and Putnam Beer Dock.

His bond still remains at $500,000.
