Tri-Valley looking to expand Nashport Elementary with additional classrooms

By Staff Report

According to a notice from the Tri-Valley Local School District, the school board is considering adding additional classrooms to Nashport Elementary.

Additional details were not provided in the notice. Minutes for the September School Board Meeting have not yet been posted online.

State Department of Education data shows that Nashport Elementary had 589 students during the 2021-2022 school year, the most of its four elementary schools. Dresden Elementary, for example, an identical copy of the Nashport building, only had 482 students last year.

Y-City News had reached out to Superintendent Mark Neal and School Board President Scott Ford for details.
