After just over a half-a-year on the job, Roseville Police Chief Archie Spradlin has resigned to take a position at Columbus State College.

A retired Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper, Spradlin took over for the department after it lost all its officers and was facing concerns by citizens for lack of police coverage.

While the department now has multiple officers, it appears Captain Joshua Weaver will be acting chief, if approved by council, after Spradlin’s departure on Friday, February 4.
