A popular local park has been closed due to recent flooding.

According to Scott Brown, Public Service Director for the City of Zanesville, the decision was made to close Riverside Park, which includes the shelter houses and the dog park, Monday morning.

The park’s entrance barriers have been closed to prevent any vehicular traffic from entering.

Brown said that once flooding has receded, the park will reopen.
