The 2019 season of Celebrate New Concord is underway after the Ladies of Longford kicked off the 18th year of the summer entertainment series Tuesday evening.

Next to perform is Adam Calvert and Barefoot McCoy on June 25 at 7 p.m. in New Concord’s Village Park.

Calvert is described to put on high energy shows with a new country feel, while McCoy’s style features a singer-songwriter and folk rock blend with poetic lyrics and distinctive instrumental work on the guitar, piano and banjo.

Shows throughout the season are free and open to the public. Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. In the event of rain, concerts will be moved to the firehouse located behind the park.

Food will be sold on location by the National Trail Ruritan Club with proceeds benefiting the New Concord Food Pantry.

The schedule for the 2019 season is as follows:

• June 25- Adam Calvert and Barefoot McCoy
• July 9- Schubach Big Band
• July 23- 80s on Board
• Aug. 13- Muskingum Valley Symphonic Winds
• Aug. 27- Northwest Territory
