Police in Zanesville are investigating what happened to a local business that left it with a shattered storefront window.

According to Captain Scott Comstock of the Zanesville Police Department, the front window of Florafino’s Flower Market was broken Saturday afternoon after employees heard a loud pop.

Despite rumors of there being a drive-by shooting, Comstock said there is no evidence to support such claims at this time.

Comstock said no bullets or shell casings were found on scene and suggested one possible theory that it could have simply been the result of a truck on Maple Avenue kicking a stone into the window while driving by the business located close to the busy street.

The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information should contact the Zanesville Police Department.
