Muskingum Iron and Metal is recognizing Earth Day by encouraging the community to recycle any unwanted materials.

“It’s an opportunity for people to bring in any type of recycling materials, whether it’s electronics, steel or non-ferrous material,” said General Manager Brian Ferguson.

Items such as electronics (excluding televisions), appliances, cars, steel, copper, wire and more will be accepted on site.

The company is offering a special Earth Day price of 50 cents per pound for aluminum cans compared to the regular 35-cent rate.

Anyone wanting to participate in the annual Earth Day recycling event can do so until 4:30 p.m.

Muskingum Iron & Metal is located off Maysville Avenue behind McDonald’s at 345 Arthur St.
