The New Concord Police Department is hosting a community-wide discussion Tuesday evening regarding the department’s recent creation of a K-9 Narcotics Detection Program.

Chief Mindy Peck and officers from the department will share information with the public regarding the use and need of a police K-9, as well as funding and any legal or policy issues associated with the program.

Also present during the meeting will be the Roseville Police Department K-9 unit for a demonstration, as well as the Ohio State Highway Patrol to comment on experiences trooper deals with on the roadways surrounding New Concord.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at New Concord Church of Christ, located at 13333 Maple Lane.
