The man that fled the scene of a motorcycle accident after hitting a deer has been located.

Brady Campbell was riding north on Dresden Road Thursday night when he collided with a deer.

A nearby resident heard the accident and went to help Campbell.

“A witness … heard it, told his wife to call 911, walked over and the guy was laying face down next to the bike,” Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Joshua Weaver said on Thursday night. “(He) starts talking to him, the guy gets up, picks up the bike, tries to leave and he kept trying to get Trent (witness) to help him bring the bike over. Another witness shows up and the guy starts becoming extremely belligerent.”

Campbell was last seen walking away from the scene of the accident along a tree line, he was heading west.

He was later located by OSP the following day at his residence. Campbell said he didn’t remember anything except leaving his father’s house in Hopewell the night before.

He was cited for driving with an expired license and not having a motorcycle endorsement. There may be additional charges to come, but Ohio State Highway Patrol Sgt. Kevin Kelly said that 99.9 percent of the time drivers are not cited for hitting deer.
