Muskingum County Ohio Means Jobs is hosting a job fair Thursday to target commercial driver’s license certified job seekers.

There has been a shortage of CDL driver’s across the state in many different companies. Representatives from Auto Zone, US Xpress, Buckeye Water, Sepi Service, Economy Linen and other companies will be present at the fair.

Those looking for a job are encouraged to bring their CDL, class A or B, with them. People who plan to get a CDL are welcome at the event, although the event is targeted toward attendees that have the specified licensing, said Julie Metzger, a supervisor at Muskingum County Ohio Means Jobs.

All of the companies in attendance collectively have hundreds of CDL related jobs available, said Metzger.

While many companies have confirmed attendance, Ohio Means Jobs does not know how many job seekers to expect due to the specifics of the job fair.

From 2 to 6 p.m., CDL certified individuals can browse companies and hundreds of jobs at the Colony Square Mall.
