Zanesville City School District has announced they will be offering free preschool at all three of its elementary buildings for the 2022-2023 school year.

The move is believed to be a big benefit to many area families and help get students ready for kindergarten.

According to the district, this upcoming fall the district will be offering free preschool at John McIntire Elementary, National Road Elementary and Zane Grey Elementary.

The program will run alongside normal school hours and students will attend five days per week.

Packets are expected to go out Monday and it is believed that spots will fill up fast.

The Zanesville Preschool Program is rated five stars by the Ohio Department of Education.

There will also be before and after care for a minimal cost allowing for as early as 7 a.m. drop-offs and up to 5 p.m. pickups.

Parents with students living within the city school district with children as young as three and four years old are encouraged to apply for the free program.
