Cory Marling, the former Frazeysburg Elementary principal who inappropriately touched multiple students under his care, will be sentenced Friday morning.

The educator was spared a prison sentence after Muskingum County Prosecutor Ron Welch agreed to dismiss felony charges as part of a plea deal to avoid a trial.

In exchange, Marling pleaded guilty to four second-degree misdemeanor counts of attempted child endangerment. He faces at most one year in the county jail.

It is possible that Muskingum County Judge Scott Rankin could give Marling community control.
