Man cited for OVI following rollover crash Friday afternoon along SR-60

A McConnelsville man is facing multiple citations following a rollover crash that occurred Friday afternoon near Gaysport along State Route 60.

The 59-year-old male was traveling southbound in his 2004 Subaru Legacy when he became distracted reaching for a pack of cigarettes, causing his vehicle to go off the roadway and rollover according to troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The man was transported from the scene with non-life threatening injuries and his canine passenger appeared to be uninjured.

According to troopers, the man was cited for operating a vehicle impaired, driving under suspension, and distracted driving.

Also on scene were deputies with the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office and Wayne Township Fire & EMS personnel.
