A Franklin County Judge has ruled that the election scheduled for tomorrow must continue.

Governor DeWine had previously stated during a press conference that he intended to postpone the election until June 2.

That request was denied by Judge Frye in Franklin County where he stated that he doesn’t believe the lawsuit was filed in a timely manner, with less than 12 hours before the start of the election.

Tim Thompson, Director of the Muskingum County Board of Elections told Y-City News that he couldn’t give any answers pertaining to the election tomorrow.

Calls to the Ohio Secretary of State’s Office have not been returned.

At 8:02 p.m. the Board of Elections sent out text messages to poll workers telling them, “the election will be held as scheduled.”

It is currently unclear if the Ohio Supreme Court will make a ruling before polls open Tuesday morning.
