One of the largest scholarship events of the year is being postponed following an announcement Wednesday by Governor DeWine discouraging large groups of individuals gathering together.

College Night 2020 is an event where students and their families from local school districts are invited to take part in an educational evening packed full of information about the college application and admission process.

The event, which will be rescheduled for a later date, will include 21 different presentations on various topics to the college preparation process. Intended for students grades 7 through 12, presentations by experts will offer information about searching for colleges, the selection process, financial aid and scholarships.

Speakers will also present about living on a college campus, collegiate sports, and planning for a successful college career.

According to a press release by the Muskingum County Community Foundation, the presentations will be made available online.

Students and their families still have the opportunity to schedule a time to meet with an advisor by calling (740)-453-5192
