A man is recovering from a stab wound, and a woman is in jail after a domestic dispute on Oct. 14 in Muskingum County.

According to Sheriff Matt Lutz, deputies and medical responders were called to 6195 Chandlersville Rd. around 11:40 a.m. Monday for a man who had been stabbed in the neck.

They arrived to find 40 year-old John Kuhn bleeding profusely from the neck at his Chandlersville home.

His girlfriend, 36 year-old Amanda Umbleby, was arrested on the scene in connection with the stabbing.

Lutz said Kuhn’s injuries turned out to be less serious than initially expected upon his arrival to the hospital. According to Lutz, no major vitals were hit when Umbleby allegedly stabbed him with a knife.

Prosecutors have charged Umbleby with felonious assault. She remains in the Muskingum County Jail awaiting her arraignment in common pleas court.

Lutz could not elaborate on the circumstances leading up to the stabbing, but he did say there was no indication of intoxication.

Umbleby appeared to be unharmed in the incident, Lutz said.
