Thursday evening, a minor car accident on Pine Street led to a woman being arrested for an outstanding felony warrant out of Perry County.

The woman’s daughter was driving a blue Ford when she ran into the back-end of a smaller car in front of her on Pine Street. The blue Ford belonged to the driver’s mother.

Upon the woman’s arrival to the accident, she told officers that she was attempting to find a wrecker as her car, that was involved in the accident, had been disabled. The Zanesville Police officers on scene verified the woman’s identity and arrested her, an officer on the scene said.

The officer stated that the woman will be returned to Perry County.

No one was seriously injured in the car accident. A small child that was in the blue Ford was taken to the hospital for a precautionary examination, but officers said the child, nor anyone else involved in the accident, sustained major injuries.

The car that received the rear impact was able to be driven away from the crash.
