After being surrendered to the Dog Warden by her owners earlier in March, Luna has taken up residence in a kennel awaiting adoption.

Following the full moon on March 20, Luna would make for the perfect adoption in honor of the occasion.

A medium-sized mutt, Deputy Dog Warden Josh Martinez said Luna doesn’t fit in-line with any specific breed.

Her affectionate nature would make her the perfect dog for a family or someone looking for a curled-up couch partner. Luna is easy-going with a dash of enthusiastic energy.

Luna likes going for walks, but Martinez said she also thoroughly enjoys her bed.

The pup is about a year-and-a-half old and gets along well with other dogs, as well as any people she encounters, including children.

Given her warmhearted nature, Luna likes being held and will nuzzle her nose into the arms of anyone that will pet her.

Luna is available for adoption at the Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center for $105. She is not spayed, but is on the list to be spayed in the near future. Anyone interested in adopting her can call the center to set up an appointment for a meet-and-greet at 740.453.0273.
