Ohio Attorney General David Yost released the report for Ohio’s concealed-carry licenses in 2018.

A total of 168,302 licenses were issued by county sheriff offices with 98,927 of which being renewals.

Another 1,436 licenses were denied in 2018.

In Muskingum County, 699 regular licenses were issued and another 1,026 were renewed for a total of 1,725. An additional three licenses were issued for temporary, emergency purposes.

Contrarily, 12 licenses were suspended, one was revoked and five were denied.

Out of Ohio’s 88 counties, Muskingum is right in the middle for number of licenses by population.

Based on the U.S. Census county population predictions for 2017, around two percent of Muskingum County’s citizens hold concealed-carry licenses. Madison County has the most by percent of population at 7.6, and Cuyahoga County has the least at .17 percent.
