Dresden water outage planned Friday morning for repair

By Jessica Johnston, Assistant News Director

Update: As of Saturday, Nov. 10, the boil order for the residents affected has been lifted.

Some Dresden Village residents will be without water for a few hours Friday morning.

Dresden Water and Sewer Department will be turning off the water on the west side of Main Street starting at 6th Street and north to Dave Longaberger Avenue, according to a release from the department.

Water Clerk Amy Poorman said that repairs need to be made to a value on private property in the area. While the Dresden Water Department will not be performing the repairs, the water needs to be shut off while the repairs are made.

Only about 15 to 20 residences in the area should be affected, Poorman said.

An exact time frame is unknown, but Poorman said that the water will be turned off in the morning and should only be off for a few hours. There will be a boil order for affected homes in the area after the water is turned back on.
