Part of South Zanesville is without water Monday night due to a pair of water main breaks.

According to the Fire Chief Russell Taylor, crews working on installing a county sewer line on Pembroke Avenue struck a water main with their backhoe Monday evening.

The chief doesn’t know how long until the line is repaired, but predicts it may take a while.

Russell also warns that a boil order will likely be placed for those in the affected area.
