Two exit ramps in the Zanesville area will be shut down for a portion of Wednesday morning into the afternoon hours for pavement patching.

The Ohio Department of Transportation is set to work on two exit ramps off of Interstate 70 Wednesday.

The I-70 Westbound off-ramp onto State Street, exit 153A, will be closed from 8 to 11 a.m. Drivers planning to take that exit are encouraged to use the detour route at exit 153B.

On the opposite side of the interstate, the I-70 Eastbound off-ramp to Airport Road, exit 160, will be closed from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. People planning to use this route are encouraged to use the detour route at exit 157.

The patching was anticipated to take place on Tuesday, Sept. 4, but the start was pushed back due to the completion of other projects in the area, Public Information Officer Morgan Overbey said.
