PupCup 5K and Poochwalk Saturday

By Jessica Johnston, Reporter

Walk the dog or run yourself through the streets and bike path of Dresden to support the homeless dogs in Muskingum County.

Saturday is the third Annual PupCup and Poochwalk in Dresden beginning at 8 a.m.

The 5K is a competitive race for runners only. The top three male and female finishers of the race will receive awards, as well as the top three runners in each age bracket. Registration for the PupCup 5K is currently $30 for the late entry fee.

While the 5K is strictly for runners, the Poochwalk is a 1.5 mile walk. It is not timed and is open to all owners and their four-legged friends. Registration for the Poochwalk is currently $25 for the late entry fee.

Everyone who registers before July 31 is guaranteed a race-day T-shirt.

The proceeds from the event will go toward the new building renovations for the Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center.

The results from the race will be posted on the Muskingum Multi-Sports website.

To register for the walk, visit the official event website.
