Those who pass the former Westview Elementary School on Dresden Road Sunday evening may think they are driving back in time when they see the property live and festive again.

After receiving approval to purchase the property and build a community park, the Muskingum Valley Park District is bringing back the school’s popular Westview Festival to raise awareness about the new park and raise money to make it come to life.

The festival will be reminiscent of the annual affair hosted by the school’s parent-teacher organization. Westview Elementary’s past principal, Steven Foreman, will make an appearance in the dunk tank among other carnival games during the festival.

Food, music, face painting and clowns will be available throughout the night.

The festival runs from 5-8 p.m. and is located at the corner of Dresden Road and Englewood Avenue.
