The former site of Harper’s Auto Body and Towing is undergoing demolition.

Located at the corner of Muskingum Avenue and Washington Street, just west of the 6th Street Bridge, crews can be seen tearing down and removing the contents of the building.

According to the Muskingum County Auditor’s website, the Paul Construction Company bought the site at the end of August for $264,825.

No future plans are currently known. The City of Zanesville owns lots to both sides, stretching from the bridge west to a block of housing.
