Southbound traffic on Maple Avenue is blocked due to a crash that occurred Tuesday afternoon.

Sergeant Derek Shilling of the Zanesville Police Department said on scene the driver of a red sedan was turning left onto Princeton Avenue when it was struck by an oncoming SUV driving south on Maple Avenue.

According to the officer, the driver turning left will be cited in the accident. The two female passengers in the red sedan were injured; the male driver was not. Police say none of the three passengers in the white SUV were hurt.
