The Muskingum County Library System announced Wednesday afternoon that beginning next week library hours across all branches will be extended.

The library system had previously closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic, with its main branch, the John McIntire Library opening in early June, and the remaining branches opening in early July under shortened hours.

The announcement Wednesday signals a continual move by many local businesses and organizations to extend in-person opportunities as many local school districts open back up to in-person instruction.

Beginning Monday, September 14 the new hours will be Mondays through Thursdays from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. and Fridays 1 p.m. until 6 p.m.

The library system continues to operate it’s virtual branch online at muskingumlibrary.org
