The Animal Shelter Society, Inc. is hosting its annual “Paws & Claws Summer Jam” Saturday from 12-5 p.m. at the YMCA in Zanesville.

Entrance to the event is free, and it will feature a variety of family-friendly activities including food trucks, music, dancing, games, crafts, a Chinese auction, a 50/50 drawing, a cornhole tournament, and a local celebrity dunk tank.

Since the event is for the entire family, pets are welcome to attend.

There will be plenty to keep dogs busy throughout the day.

Starting at 1:30 p.m., there will be a pet costume contest and a pet talent contest.

Children’s swimming pools will be available for dogs to cool off throughout the day.

Additionally, dogs can have their nails trimmed at no cost.

There is also a chance to have dogs microchipped at a discounted price or have an ID tag made for them.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Animal Shelter Society Inc.
