Menards spends almost $5 million on land for Zanesville store along Northpointe
April 20, 2020
Menards recently made a multi-million dollar land acquisition in Zanesville, solidifying the company’s commitment to open its newest location by the end of 2020.
Menard Inc. purchased the two parcels located at 3742 Northpointe Drive, next to Sam’s Club and behind Lowe’s for $4,950,000 earlier this month.
As reported by Y-City News last October, Tom O’Neil, a senior sales representative for the company, made an appearance at a City Community Development Committee meeting seeking the passage of a re-zoning ordinance which would allow Menards to create a stormwater retention pond south of the store’s location.
According to its website, Menards is classified as a home improvement store that offers a one-stop shopping experience as most store locations carry appliances, pet products, lawn and garden supplies and groceries.

Maybe so but then again employment for those who have lost their jobs

A regrettable purchase and unlucky timing for Menards. With the national economy in a major Depression, and with more than 22,000,000 without employment in the past four weeks, the odds of the store being completed are on the thin edge of the wedge. RTT
