A motorcyclist was taken by squad to Genesis Hospital after crashing his bike along Old River Road in Brush Creek Township Thursday afternoon.

Emergency personnel responded to a call around 4:45 p.m. that an individual, along with his motorcycle, was off the roadway with unknown injuries. An estimated response time for Med-Flight was requested, however, the service was never called upon.

According to an Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper, the motorcyclist was traveling northbound along Old River Road when he went left-of-center, off the roadway, through a field before striking a pole and overturning.

The motorcyclist’s injuries are currently unknown at the time of publication.

A helmet was found near the black Harley-Davidson motorcycle, however, it is currently under investigation whether it was being worn at the time of the crash.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol and Harrison Township Fire & EMS were both on scene.
