The name of the man who died in a crash along U.S. 40 on Christmas Eve has been released.

According to Sgt. Jeffrey Jirles of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 29 year-old Robert Tokie II of Zanesville was pronounced dead at the scene by the Muskingum County Coroner.

First responders were called to U.S. 40 near Polk Scrap Iron and Metal around 8 p.m. Tuesday where they found a 2009 Kia Spectra on its top.

The driver, Tokie, had been ejected from the vehicle as a result of the accident.

Law enforcement believe alcohol consumption and failing to wear a seatbelt contributed to the circumstances.
