The Dobbins family light show is returning this Saturday with more lights and animated pieces than ever.

Michelle Dobbins, curator of the event, is busy preparing to put on this free event to the public, which has been a local tradition for more than 40 years.

This year’s show will feature over 47,000 lights and multiple new animated pieces including a moving Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

Santa will be available for photos and will have over 200 gift bags for the children in attendance.

Dobbins will also have over 600 cookies, hot chocolate, and candy canes for those who come opening night.

“It’s just a blessing to me, that’s what I say all the time. This is what it’s all about, brightening the spirits during the Christmas season,” Dobbins said.

The event will take place at 4380 Shimoda Lane Zanesville, Ohio on Saturday, December 21  from 5 till 7 p.m.
