Those affected by Monday morning’s water main break at Baker Street and Carey Street are still being advised to boil their water for another day.

Samples have been sent to be tested at a lab in Columbus, but results are still pending.

The City of Zanesville Water Division said the advisory won’t be lifted until Wednesday at the earliest.

Residents were told to boil their water following the rupture of a 12-inch line around 7 a.m. Monday.

Those in the affected area are advised to vigorously boil water intended for cooking, drinking, ice making and oral hygiene for at least one minute.

The streets of impact include:

  • Westwood Drive
  • Walnut Drive
  • National Way
  • June Parkway
  • Federal Avenue
  • Clay Street
  • Chester Street
  • Race Street
  • Arch Street
  • Maysville Pike from Spence Avenue South to Clay Street
  • Baker Street, including Cook Manor
  • Pine Street and all side streets between Maysville Avenue North and Shelby Street
