This former stray has spent more than his fair share of time at the Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center.

Bluff is an approximately three year-old American Pitbull Terrier.

He was brought into the adoption center at the beginning of June as has been there ever since.

Despite his size and strong appearance, volunteer Doug McQuaid said Bluff looks for approval and affirmation from people he’s around.

The dog enjoys any people he comes into contact with, although he does not always get along well with other dogs.

McQuaid said Bluff is not aggressive toward other dogs but he may try to pull away in an effort to confront another dog.

Due to skepticism of other dogs, McQuaid said he suspects Bluff would excel in a home where he is the only dog. Bluff has not been cat tested.

Bluff does well with older children but has not been around younger children much since his arrival at the adoption center.

He enjoys going for walks. McQuaid said he’s typically curious and excited at the beginning of the walk but calms his energy quickly.

Bluff is neutered and is available for adoption at the Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center. Anyone interested in adopting Bluff can contact the adoption center to set up a meet-and-greet at 740.453.0273.
