Friday Ables broke ground on their new facility, which will house staff and equipment from both their existing locations in Zanesville and Cambridge.

Russ Ables, President of Ables Inc. said there will be two structures on the lot, an office building, as well as a warehouse with a truck bay. Russ Ables’ son Josh Ables noted the location gives them plenty of room for expansion and quick access to the interstate.

The construction is intended to be completed by April 1, 2020, and will feature a viewing area that enables customers to see into the building’s mechanical room according to Russ Ables’ other son Jeremy Ables, who also helps run the family business.

The move is intended to bring the two locations under one roof with over 70 employees operating out of the facility.

“We started in Cambridge, back in 1967, doing business for 52 years. We had the good fortune of buying LA Emmert Heating & Cooling in 2015 and took over in 2016. Thinking that we could run two locations, Cambridge and Zanesville, but as time went on and we run out of room at the one location we moved up onto Maple Avenue, and we run out of room there, we are running out of room in Cambridge, so we started looking, all over Cambridge and Zanesville, to bring this company together under one roof,” Russ Ables said.

Russ Ables expressed the importance the location will bring not only for his family, having his two sons at the same location, but to bring the company together.

“We’ve had a lot of employees here long term, they are not here today and gone tomorrow, we got employees who have been here close to 25 years. That speaks a lot to itself right there,” Russ Ables said.

While maintaining lifelong employees has helped the Ables’ company grow, Russ Ables said his sons have also been instrumental in the company’s success.

“It means a lot, I was very fortunate with what my dad started, I had the good graces of two young men to help me. What we are doing here today is for them to continue on and take this company to be a leader in the community,” added Russ Ables.
