A total of 6,000 residents living within the Muskingum Valley Park District area have been mailed surveys that are attempting to provide the park district with a better understanding of parks and recreation desires within the community.

The Muskingum Valley Park District is encouraging the randomly selected residents to fill out the mailed survey as the district is seeking to understand the community’s values, satisfaction levels, needs and priorities, according to a media release. The survey results will be used to make long-term plans.

“Community input is an important part of this process and helps the District to best tailor the plan to reflect Muskingum’s desires and needs,” the release states.

The survey is composed of questions surrounding residents’ interest in programs, facilities and services that they wish to see within their local parks and recreation.

While every randomly-selected resident may not utilize the parks and recreation in the Muskingum Valley Park District, the district is still requesting that those residents share their opinions.

The survey project is being led by Ron Vine & Associates and RRC Associates, according to the release.

Each survey can be filled out and mailed back with the provided business reply envelope. If selected residents prefer to fill the survey out online, a password-protected website was provided on each survey’s cover letter.
