Two motorcyclists are injured after crashing their bike when a dog crossed the road in front of them Friday afternoon.
The pair was riding along SR 83 south of New Concord when they struck the dog in the roadway around 4:45 p.m., Trooper Timothy Cunningham of the Ohio State Highway Patrol Cambridge Post said.
Both occupants of the motorcycle were taken to the hospital — one sustained minor injuries while the other’s are unknown.
The dog, a Black Labrador Retriever, did not survive its injuries.
Two medical squads from New Concord, as well as the Cassell Station Volunteer Fire Department assisted on scene.

Where was the owner of the dog?!
They should be responsible for the medical bills and damages to the bike.
Sad for the loss of the dog
