United Way shares important message with previous tax clinic clients

By Christine Holmes, News Director

The United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan Counties has an urgent message for anyone who filed taxes with their assistance in the past three to five years.

The software provider for The Ohio Benefit Bank has filed bankruptcy, which means those who have filed taxes online with The Ohio Benefit Bank either with the help of United Way MPM or via the self-serve link are at risk of losing important documentation.

The United Way advises affected clients to print their Federal and State tax return records before July 30.

According to United Way MPM, anyone who filed taxes through their clinic should have a white legal size envelope with a copy of their records.

Transcripts and earning records can also be accessed by calling the IRS at 844-545-5640.
