Residents of Roseville that sustained damage from the tornado that hit the village in the early morning hours of May 28 can apply for federal assistance this week.

On July 3, 5 and 6, representatives from FEMA will be manning a Disaster Recovery Center at Roseville Elementary School to field claims and assist with the aid application process.

Both private citizens and business owners can utilize the services each day the center is open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Roseville Elementary School is located at 35 Elm St.

Those who cannot make it to the elementary school can also receive help by calling 1-800-621-3362 from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m.

The funding is a result of a Presidential Disaster Declaration made June 18 that allowed for 10 Ohio counties impacted by the same series of storms to receive relief.

Through the declaration, those counties are eligible for low-interest loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

Additionally, assistance is available through the following programs:

  • Individual Assistance Program
  • Disaster Legal Services Program
  • Hazard Mitigation Grant Program

The State can also apply for crisis counseling assistance, disaster unemployment assistance and disaster case management help.
