Traffic moving again after pair of semi accidents on Interstate 70 westbound
May 3, 2019
Traffic is slowly moving as the scenes of two accidents involving semi-trucks are being cleared on I-70.
A trooper with the Ohio State Highway Patrol said the accidents occurred around 3 p.m. when roads were wet and heavy rain was pouring at times.
The driver of a semi lost control and went off the right side of the road in the westbound lane near the 153 mile marker near U.S. 40.
Immediately after, another semi rear-ended a SUV in close proximity to the first accident.
One person was treated for injuries.
The Muskingum County Emergency Management Agency was on scene to clean a minor fuel spill.
Falls Township Fire and EMS were also there to assist.
