This S’more is ready for a new outdoor adventure.
S’more is a two or three year-old pit bull-mix that cannot get enough sunshine.
“When it’s sunny out or nice, you can’t get him to come in. He just lays outside all day,” Deputy Dog Warden Brittany Callihan said of the spotted dog.
The mix-breed has an indoor-outdoor kennel and enjoys spending any nice days outside sunbathing.
Due to his love for the outdoors, Head Dog Warden Bryan Catlin said S’more would do well with a family or person that has a fenced in yard. While the medium-sized pup likes laying in the sun, he has plenty of energy to run off before he gets comfortable.
“He really loves laying outside so, like he said with the fenced in yard … not be an outside dog but if he could spend some time outside, I think he would like that,” Calihan said.
Although it may take some effort to get S’more inside, he can always be coerced by some attention, a treat or his favorite snack, peanut butter.
Speaking of treats, S’more’s anticipation for a treat will often make him smile. In addition to his sweet smile, Calihan said his most unique feature is the little dot of dark fur just above his eye.
S’more gets along fairly well with other dogs, although he can be selective with his chosen friendships. He takes well to people but has not interacted with children since his intake to the Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center.
Community members with other dogs and children are always asked to visit the adoption center prior to adopting a dog to ensure that everyone gets along well with one another.
S’more is ready for adoption. Anyone interested in adopting him can call the Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center to set up an appointment for a meet-and-greet at 740.453.0273.
