The eastbound lanes of the interstate have reopened under the Hamline Avenue Bridge after a semi and car collided sending the car into the concrete barrier.

I-70 east, near the Hamline Avenue Bridge, was closed from about 7:30 p.m. to just after 8 p.m. due to the collision. Crews began clearing the area and letting traffic through just after the car was towed away.

The female driver of a Subaru car was taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The driver of the semi was unharmed in the accident.

According to ZFD Assistant Chief John Rodman, the car and the semi collided on the car’s side which spun the vehicle around and into the concrete wall.

Zanesville Police and Fire were on the scene.

It’s unclear if either driver was cited for the accident.

A previous version of this story stated that the car involved was a Ford.
