Timothy Huey of Cambridge pleaded guilty to several charges related to an event in November when he led Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers and Muskingum County Sheriff’s deputies on a foot chase off N. River Road following a traffic stop.

On Nov. 3, a short vehicle pursuit ensued after OSP troopers attempted to pull Huey over for multiple traffic violations on Linden Avenue. Shortly after the pursuit began, Huey jumped out of the moving vehicle on N. River Road and attempted to flee on foot, according to a previous media release from OSP.

Friday morning, Huey, 39, pleaded guilty to one count of failure to comply, a third-degree felony, four counts of abduction, third-degree felonies, one count of tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony and one count of OVI, a first-degree misdemeanor.

During the pursuit in November, Huey was driving a vehicle with his brother and his brother’s three children inside.

Huey is a active wanted fugitive out of the State of Florida for failing to register as a sex offender.

Muskingum County Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Ron Welch said the State of Florida will be contacted after Huey is sentenced in Muskingum County. Florida will then make a decision on whether or not to bring charges against Huey. There is no plan in place to extradite him to Florida at this time, Welch said.

Huey’s bond was continued at $200,000.
