Man trapped in car after rollover accident

The driver of a silver Chevy was trapped inside his pickup truck after losing control on Adams Lane, hitting a utility pole and overturning the vehicle Sunday night.

The driver, 33 year-old Eric Rollins of Zanesville, was pulled out of the truck and taken to Genesis Hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries, according to a press release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Rollins was the only person in the car, and no other vehicles were involved.

According to Sergeant Jeffrey Jirles, alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.

Adams Lane, near Doaks Lane was closed for around an hour while crews removed both the truck and damaged utility pole.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol, Falls Township Fire Department, Falls Township EMS and AEP were all on scene.
