Over 200 without power near airport
November 6, 2018
Update: The power was originally anticipated to be restored by 4:30 p.m. but the restoration time has been pushed back to 6:30 p.m.
Approximately 222 people are without power in the area of Route 40 around the Zanesville Municipal Airport.
The area lost power around 12:15 p.m. Tuesday due to a portion of tree that fell and took out two spans of AEP power lines, Jessica Wright, an AEP media representative said.
The airport is currently affected by the power outage, but is utilizing a generator, according to a Zanesville Municipal Airport employee.
The employee added that flights are not affected and the power outage will only become a problem for flights if it’s not restored before dark.
AEP crews are currently on scene, and power should be restored by 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
