The driver of a silver Chrysler was trapped inside her car after losing control on Wortman Road, hitting an embankment and overturning the vehicle Saturday morning.

The driver, 19 year-old Stephanie Sims, was pulled out of car and taken to Genesis Hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries, according to an Ohio State Highway Patrol Officer on scene.

Sims was the only person in the car and no other vehicles were involved.

It’s unclear what caused Sims to lose control of the vehicle.

Wortman Road was closed by the intersection, but reopened just before 11:30 a.m.

Ohio State Highway Patrol, Newton Township Fire Department, South Zanesville Fire Department and Value Care Ambulance were all on scene.
