Main connecting with water tower breaks on Pine Street
October 5, 2018
A water main feeding to the Putnam Hill water tower has burst on Pine Street, affecting a large portion of the south end of Zanesville.
Employees from the water department on scene say a foot of water has already been lost in the water tower.
A portion of Pine Street between Grove Avenue and Merrick Avenue is closed while crews make repairs.
Crews do not have an estimate of when water will be restored at this time.

How much longer is Pine Street going to be closed?!? I live on Echo Ave. and all of the traffic is flying down our street for a detour and with cars parked on both sides of our street it is chaos at times. Also so many children are on this street and the 25 speed limit is about 40 now. Someone is going to get hurt! Plus the ambulances always traveled Pine to Maysville and they are rerouted now. It has been a week now and no one working on it is ridiculous…please do something!!!
