Furry Friend Friday: A little bit of Pepper
September 7, 2018
This Friday’s Furry is Pepper.
Pepper was found by someone in the community and turned over to the Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center about a month ago.
She’s a small, Beagle mix with a black and white speckled coat. Wardens think Pepper is between two and four years-old.
“Pepper is a small dog, but don’t let that fool you.” Deputy Dog Warden Brittany Calihan said. “She’s very energetic, she likes to play, she let’s you know she’s there. She’ll bark at you and let you know, ‘Hey, I’m still here.'”
The energetic pup weighs about 15 pounds, but the wardens are hoping she puts on a few more pounds to stay in good health. Although she’s slightly under her ideal weight, Pepper loves feeding time and thoroughly enjoys peanut butter, Calihan said.
Some of Peppers favorite places are outside or in somebody’s arms.
“She likes to be held, she likes to be held like a baby, she likes for you to put her up on your shoulder,” Calihan said.
The small pooch gets along well with everyone she encounters, including children and other dogs. Calihan said Pepper would do very well in a home with another four-legged friend.
Pepper is available for adoption at the Muskingum County Dog Warden and Adoption Center. Anyone interested in adopting Pepper can call the center to set up an appointment for a meet-and-greet at 740.453.0273
