Water main break off Linden Avenue
September 4, 2018
A water main break off of Linden Avenue is leaving residents in the area with low water pressure.
At approximately 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Zanesville Water Department crews were sent to the car wash at the intersection of Linden and Adair Avenues due to a water main break.
During the repairs to the water main, a valve located on Ball Street broke.
Water Department crews have repaired the main break by the car wash and are working to repair the valve on Ball Street.
According to Paul Mills, Water Superintendent, a boil order will not be issued, and crews do not plan to shut water in the area off.
Due to the repairs, residents may experience low water pressure until all problems are fixed.
Crews are working to repair the break and restore water to residents in the area. It is unclear how long the repairs will take.
The Water Department believes the initial break was a result of old water mains.
